Pastor's Monthly Message

Shalom and greetings to all of you in Jesus' name!

It's almost a month thatwe're back from overseas. Just in time for our GE14, and also to witness a mighty move of the hand of God Almighty upon our beloved country, Malaysia. This can only signal tons that GOD IS still on His throne and HE IS still in control. Amen!

I'm believing God for June to be a great month for every one in Tabernacle of Worship. Let's believe for an amazing outpouring of God's blessings and move of His Spirit upon everyone here as a family

I want to start-off June's focus by looking at Jeremiah 29:10-14 . . .

"10 This is what the Lord says: "When seventy years are completed for Babylon, I will come to you and fulfill my good promise to bring you back to this place. 11 For I know that plans Ihave for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future . 12 Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back from captivity. I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you," declares the Lord, "and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile." [NIV]

Jeremiah presents a beautiful prophecy of encouragement to the exiles, to His people whohave been suffering tremendously all these 70 years. That the Lord's ultimate purpose for His people called for blessing. The "gracious promise" is that of the exiles' restoration to Judah (cf. Jeremiah 27:22), and that God have NOT forgotten them. The Lord was NOT denying them hope for the future, but is NOW here to stay. Jeremiah's words  "hope and a future" (verse 12) are literally "an end and a hope" - which means "a hopeful end." It's an assuring affirmation of God's goodness and faithfulness.

Verses 12-14 stresses the nature of the hopeful future of the nation of Israel. The promises, however, were contingent on their wholehearted repentance. The the Lord would listen to them and make Himself accessible to them.

The declaration "I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you ..." [verse 14] looks far beyond the Jews' return from Babylon to their future restoration from worldwide dispersion.

So, what is Jeremiah's message to you and I this morning as Christians in Malaysia?

1. God does have a plan for everyone of our lives.
2. God has NOT forgotten us. HE IS still on His throne, and HE IS still in control.
3. God's gracious promises to bless IS still eternally true, and is still yes and amen!
4. God is always GOOD and FAITHFUL to us as His people.
5. God only wish for us is to have wholehearted repentance from ungodly and care-less life and living.
6. God's plan is to reach this lost world through you and me.

Are you ready, brothers and sisters to see His kindness and goodness express amazingly in your life and through your life? Let us trust and believe God for a great month together.
May God bless you all amzingly!

Sincerely,

Pastor Christopher Mun
